1. The King James Version translation was undertaken in 1607 and first published in 1611.

2. The Holy Scriptures were written as men were moved upon by the Holy Spirit. The bible's author is God, not men.

3. The bible contains 66 books. 39 books in the Old Testament and 26 books in the New Testament.

4. It is interesting to note that the book of Isaiah has 66 chapters also.

9. The longest verse in the Bible is Esther 8:9. It has 90 words and 426 letters.

10. The two chapters of the Bible that are the most nearly alike are
2 Kings 19 and Isaiah 37.

11. The New Testament is composed of 260 chapters, which is exactly
5 x 52; the number of weeks in the year.

12. The middle chapter of the bible is Psalms 117.

13. The middle verse of the Bible is Psalms 103:2. Among 31,101 verses, it is number 15,551.

14. The longest verse of the New Testament is Revelation 20:4. It has 68 words and 284 letters.

15. Ezra 7:21 contains all the letters in the alphabet; with the exception of the letter J.

16. The name "Jesus" occurs in both the first and last verses of the New Testament.

17. The famous inscription on the Liberty Bell in Independence Hall, Philadelphia, was borrowed from Leviticus 25:10

18. The 29th chapter of Job is the middle chapter of the Old Testament.

20. The three languages that the Bible has come to us is (1) Hebrew, (2) Biblical Aramaic, and (3) Greek.

Genesis and Revelation

The Bible is all one story. The last part of the last book reads like the close of the story that was begun in the first book in the Bible.

21. The first word in Genesis: "In the beginning God created the Heaven and Earth." Gen 1:1. According to the proper rules of composition, this would be the thesis statement that gives a short overview of the context of the rest of the book. The conclusion in Revelation says; "I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth." Rev 21:1.

22. Gen 1:10: "The gathering together of water He called the sea."
Rev. 21:1 "And the sea is no more."

23. Gen. 1:5: "The darkness He called Night."
Rev. 21:25: "There shall be no night there."

24. Gen 1:16: "God made two great lights (Sun and Moon)."
Rev. 21:23: "The city has no need of the Sun or Moon."

25. Gen 2:17: "In the day you eat thereof; you shall surely die."
Rev. 21:4: "Death shall be no more."

26. Gen 3:16: "I will greatly multiply you pain."
Rev. 21:4: "Neither shall there be pain anymore."

27. Gen 3:17: "Cursed is the ground for your sake."
Rev. 22:3: "There shall be no more curse."

28. Gen 3:1,4: Satan appears as a deceiver of mankind.
Rev. 20:10 Satan disappears forever.

29. Gen 3:22-24: Adam and Eve were driven from the Tree of Life.
Rev. 22:2: The Tree of Life reappears.

30. Gen. 3:24: They were driven from God's presence.
Rev. 22:4: They shall see His face.

31. Gen. 2:10: Man's first home was by a river.
Rev. 22:1: Man's eternal home will be beside a river.

32. God's number system:
1 - One true God
2 - two witnesses declared it
3 - the Trinity
4 - four points of the compass, the earth
5 - the dividing number
6 - the number of man
7 - the number of perfection
